塗門街  투먼 거리 Tumen   Street

                   

    传说曾为建造泉州东西塔储存、输送土石方而又名 “土门街 ”。位于市区中心地带， 东起温陵路，西至中山路，全长千余米，集商贸、旅游、文化三位一体， “海丝 ”文物群点缀其间，有宋元文化遗存清净寺、孔子文庙、通淮关岳庙、东观西台、祖闾苏、世家大厝、棋盘园、东鲁巷、三十二间巷等十三处。改造后的涂门街秉承泉州闽南古建筑的风格，又与现代建筑文化有机结合，楼宇瓦砾间隐约折射出古城在宋元时期的繁华景致，理所当然地入选全国第一批 “购物放心一条街 ”。

Tumen Street means “ Clay Street ”. It got the name from a folk story that it was once a place to store and convey stones and clay for building Twin Pagodas. Tumen Street lies in the center of the city proper stretching from Wenling Road in the east to Zhongshan Road in the west totaling 1005 m long. It is a busy street integrating commerce, trade, tourism and culture. T here are multiple “ Maritime Silk Route
”cultural relic groups. Thirteen Song and Yuan dynasties historical remains are scattering along the street such as the Qingjing Mosque, the Confucius Temple, the Guan-Yue temple of Tonghuai (Guanyu and Yuefei), the Dongguanxitai, Zulusu, the Large House of An Family, the Qipan Garden, Donglu Lane , Sanshierjian Lane and etc. Having been revised, Tumen Street demonstrates a good combination of both traditional architectural style of South Fujian and the modern architecture.
